Maryville, Tenn. – The Maryville College Democrats are pleased to announce that Charles Bussey will be speaking at Maryville College on April 6th at 5:30 p.m. in Lawson Auditorium.
Charles Bussey is a Professor of History at Western Kentucky University. Professor Bussey was a Fulbright Senior Lecturer at Agder University College in Norway in 2003-2004 when he contributed "A Postcard from Norway: How America Looks from Here." It is part of a new book, "Where We Stand: Voices of Southern Dissent,” edited by Anthony Dunbar with a forward by Jimmy Carter.
“We are much honored to have Professor Bussey at Maryville College,” said Molly Sneary, Maryville College Democrat President. “The College Democrats look forward to hosting an open discussion on the current state of our Nation as Mr. Bussey has discussed in his latest book.”
